Halloween/Avery's Birthday

Every year Avery's birthday is extra special because it is also Halloween! This year we had a great time because it was a saturday so we had fun all day. Avery woke up to breakfast with Gram and Papa and her request of ghost pankcakes. We made orange smoothies, bacon, sausage (per her request) and I got a few sprinkle donuts to top of the very unhealthy but special meal. She was so happy to see that Gram and Papa came dressed for the holiday! She quickly asked to go to the store so she could buy her pink jeep. So we walked out to the garage to get in the car and there it was. A fun surprise. The rest of the morning was filled with giggles and squeals by both girls (and us too) as they figured out how to drive the thing. Like watching a teenage kid learn how to drive! The day continued with a visit from Barb and Jim, and Hawkeye victory, trick or treating, dinner and cake with Julie, Neil, Will and Nate. The girls were a mermaid and a fish, I was a crab and Corey a fisherman! I love Halloween and love having Avery ~ making it extra special.
